Netflix shares first look at Blue Eye Samurai season 2 — new episodes coming soon

Netflix has shared the first look at Blue Eye Samurai season 2, showing Mizu navigating a ship through a violent storm on the way to England. The streamer says new episodes are "coming soon." At the 2026 Annecy Festival Netflix screened roughly 60 seconds of footage that shows Mizu arriving in London and being put into an underground fighting match.

The official logline reads: "In Season 2, Mizu's bloody quest continues in London, where she faces new friends, old foes, and her own demons. In Japan, Akemi and Taigen navigate Edo Castle under a dangerous new Shogun, while Ringo searches for new purpose." Created by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, Blue Eye Samurai premiered on Netflix in November 2023 and was renewed for a second season the following December.

The anime follows an onna-musha who seeks revenge against four men, one of whom is her father, and features a voice cast that includes Kenneth Branagh, Brenda Song, George Takei, Masi Oka and Randall Park.
