Netflix reveals first look at Brazilian MMA thriller Wrath

Netflix has unveiled a first look at Wrath, a Brazilian martial-arts action thriller pitched as “Bourne meets Rocky.” The series follows a mysterious man rescued from the brink of death who finds redemption in the cage and will debut on July 29, 2026. Vinicius Neri (Lupi) stars as lead Mercelo, joined by Alice Carvalho (Love Is a Knife), Bianca Comparato (3%), Cláudia Raia (Belíssima), Eduardo Moscovis (The Thorn and the Rose), Fábio Lago (Elite Squad), MC Cabelinho (A Mother’s Love), Babu Santana (City of God) and Zé Wendell (Galera FC).

The story centers on a young man saved by an MMA coach who, with no memory of his identity and given the name Marcelo, finds purpose in the sport but gradually uncovers clues to his past and becomes entangled in crime, secrets and rivalries that reach far beyond the cage.

Created by Igor Verde and Gustavo Bragança and directed by José Henrique Fonseca, Wrath is executive produced by Eduardo Pop, Fernanda Laignier and Fonseca and is a co-production between Zola Filmes and Netflix.
