The Naruto anime will mark its 25th anniversary in 2027, and TV Tokyo has teased major plans across television and gaming. Game Rant spotted and translated a comment made during an investor Q&A following TV Tokyo's latest financial results briefing. TV Tokyo said, "We see the 25th anniversary [Naruto's] as the beginning of a new stage, and we have several projects planned to capture that.

New projects, including videos and games developed with new partners, are planned for 2027 and beyond." That reflects managing director Koichi Komaru's remark that "we aim to build global momentum for the 25th anniversary." The recommitment is notable because the franchise is currently in a lull: Naruto: Shippuden wrapped up in 2017, and since then the series has mostly focused on Boruto.

The last video game related to this franchise was Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections in 2026. TV Tokyo did not provide further details.
