My RPG hopes for 2026 are pinned on Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave — Gamesradar

The Nintendo Direct June 2026 showcase opened with the Spirit Dais theme from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, immediately evoking Sothis — the mysterious, deity-like figure tied to protagonist Byleth — and creating a clear connection to that game. With Fable pushed into 2027 and Exodus also aiming for next year, Fortune's Weave has shot to the top of my 2026 RPG wishlist.

A release date that lands in the same month as the new vampire role-playing adventure, The Blood of the Dawnwalker, has me calling September a standout month for RPG fans. Fortune's Weave is set in the Dagdan Empire and frames its story around the "Heroic Games," which give off gladiatorial tournament vibes.

Four main heroes — Cai, determined to save his imprisoned father; Dietrich, a swordsman hunting a stronger foe; Theodora, a queen seeking to fulfill her homeland's dream; and Leda, a musician bent on revenge — promise intersecting motivations and storylines.
