My new daily game is like Wordle but for minigolf
I've pretty much lapsed in my Wordle devotion. Once a fanatic who would crawl through broken glass to keep my daily streak alive, I now play only a few times a month. Five empty boxes can only remain appealing for so long. That's why I've been on the lookout for a new daily fix, and I found one: putt.day.
It presents a new minigolf hole each day. To play, click and drag behind the ball (or press and drag on mobile); the further you pull, the harder the shot. Drag elsewhere on the screen to look around, and use the mouse wheel or a pinch gesture to zoom. You try to get the ball in the hole in as few shots as possible.
You can replay a hole to try to beat your score, and share results in Wordle-like fashion on social media or in chats. I'm terrible at it—today's course was a par 12 and I scored 20. There’s no sign-in, but the game will keep streaks and scores unless you clear your browser data.
