My kids won't stop asking to play this new version of The Game of Life
I've had my eye on the Toniebox 2, the upgraded audio entertainment system for kids, for months after a family friend gifted us the previous version. The Tonieplay Hasbro Collection brings Monopoly, Guess Who? and The Game of Life to the Toniebox 2, though some interactive characters and materials don't work on the original.
When I had the chance to try the new titles, combining something my family already enjoyed with board game experiences felt like kismet. Think of the Toniebox 2 as a child-friendly, speaker-based system that uses magnetic "tonies" a bit like proprietary amiibo.
The soft cube has ears that turn it on and adjust volume, a reader on top for figures, and while it needs an internet connection there are no ads or screens. My family has used it for kid-friendly podcasts, Spider-Man stories and songs; adding games seemed a natural next step.
