My Adventures With Superman, returning for its third season on Adult Swim and HBO Max, offers a lighter, anime-influenced reimagining of Superman that blends heart, humor and big action. That tone stands in contrast to the stern, mythic approach of the Snyder era and the frequently darker, more adult-focused direction of much of James Gunn's DCU.

First airing in 2023, the series stars Jack Quaid as Clark Kent with Alice Lee as Lois Lane and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen. Shonen anime inspiration helps rebuild the Superman mythos from the ground up, introducing reinvented villains, new powers drawn from Eastern comics and animation, and unexpected casting beats such as Chris Parnell as a dangerously sexy Deathstroke.

Season 3 expands the core group with Kiana Madeira as Kara Zor-El. Airings at midnight on Adult Swim’s Toonami block underline the show’s willingness to be both silly and earnest.
