The Muppets Take Over Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster at Disney World
Disney’s Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios has swapped Aerosmith for The Muppets, a change that addresses a long-standing mismatch between the band’s image and the family-friendly resort. The original connection to Disney was thin—the only notable tie was the song “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” which never appeared on the ride—and the park’s atmosphere has always leaned away from the hard-rock lifestyle the band evoked.
The coaster itself remains largely the same: the same indoor launch, rapid acceleration into inversions, and black-light set pieces that sell the rock‑and‑roll theme. Most of the visible changes sit in the pre- and postshow areas, where new Muppet references and props have been added alongside an updated soundtrack performed by The Electric Mayhem and guest vocalists.
The preshow reuses the G‑Force Records concept, now owned by Scooter’s uncle, and expands the queue with more than half an hour of original video featuring Muppets interacting with celebrity guests. Dr.
