I'm in Taipei at MSI's HQ, spending a Sunday prodding its new hardware. I had my hands on the Claw 9 EX AI+ with its Intel G3 Extreme processor and eyeballed a range of MSI's new monitors. The $1599 MEG X — billed as the "world's first agentic AI monitor" — was one that stood out, though not always for the right reasons.

Its headline feature is a voice-driven settings control that lets you ask the monitor to change a setting and have it do so, avoiding fiddly on-screen display menus. The MEG X is a 34-inch 5th-Gen QD-OLED with a 3440x1440 (UWQHD@360Hz) panel, 0.03ms (GtG), and a built-in AI processor delivering AI Super Resolution, AI Gauge, AI Scene, AI Audio Scene, AI Crosshair, and AI Vision+; it also includes an AI Care Sensor, Penta Tandem 5-layer structure, RGB Stripe, DarkArmor Film and a range of inputs including 2x HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1a, and USB-C with 98W PD.
