MSI displayed a next-generation graphics card cooler concept at Computex — a preview of what cards of tomorrow, or rather 2027 at the earliest, could look like. The company estimates the new feature set might shave around four degrees centigrade off peak temperatures of a high-end GPU.

Key innovations include full metal fan blades, rifled heat pipes, diamond-composite thermal pads and a diamond-copper composite contact plate. Replacing plastic blades with metal aims to eliminate warping at high speeds, producing a more rigid structure and reportedly increasing cooling efficiency; they also feel cool to the touch.

The rifled heat pipes use a spiral structure inside the barrels to increase internal contact area and improve thermal transfer compared with regular designs. Diamond powder is mixed into the heatpads over the memory modules and into the base plate to boost thermal conductivity; the base plate looks "kinda dirty" beside an all-copper version, but it sometimes sparkles and cools a bit better.
