House of the Dragon Season 3 premieres Sunday at 9:00 PM ET
House of the Dragon returns Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT with its third season debut on HBO. New episodes will be released weekly on Sundays through August 9, 2026, and each installment becomes available on HBO Max as soon as it airs.
Rather than ending Season 2 with an all-out dragon battle, the finale set up the next chapter and pushed the epic Battle of Gullet into Season 3. The opening episode runs 72 minutes and plunges viewers into the Greens-versus-Blacks conflict; showrunner Ryan Condal said, "This sequence is unlike anything that’s ever been done in television before."
Season 3 consists of eight episodes. The premiere was written by Ryan Condal and directed by Loni Peristere, and the series is following a more traditional appointment-viewing model rather than a binge release.
Whether you watch on the premium channel or the streaming app, each new episode will be available at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT on Sundays.
