MrBeast co-writes thriller The Most Dangerous Games with James Patterson

James Donaldson, known online as MrBeast, has teamed up with thriller author James Patterson for a novel titled The Most Dangerous Games. The book—based on a version of his Beast Games show that suggests contestants may be killed—recently had its cover and release date revealed.

A deluxe edition is available for preorder at $33 and displays "MrBEAST" above Patterson's name; it is being promoted as "The book event of the year." The blurb sets a high‑stakes premise: one hundred players face off in a ruthless competition for the chance to save humanity and win one billion dollars.

"The stakes couldn't be higher," it says, adding that viewers have seen MrBeast break the internet but nothing could prepare them for this competition. Donaldson, who recently became the first individual creator to reach 500 million YouTube subscribers, said he once thought books were boring until he found the right ones.
