José Mourinho told the Beast Mode On Podcast he would like one match from his coaching career replayed: the Roma v Sevilla Europa League final. He singled out the referee, saying: "Roma - Sevilla, Europa League final. Without Anthony Taylor!" The fixture ended with Sevilla prevailing on penalties, and Mourinho took issue with the performance of the Premier League-based team of match officials.

At Roma he guided the club to back-to-back continental finals, winning the 2022 Conference League against Feyenoord and becoming the first manager to complete the UEFA treble of Champions League, UEFA Cup/Europa League and Conference League. That triumph ended an 11-year wait for major silverware in the Italian capital, but the Europa League final defeat was his first in a European showpiece.

Mourinho has returned to Real Madrid on a three-year contract and says the club has the best dressing room, with Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior among the players he will work with again.
