Motorola Razr+ feels like a flagship without the Ultra price

Smartphone lineups have become cluttered with Pro, Ultra and Fan Edition models, leaving Plus versions stuck in the middle. That expectation changed after I spent several weeks using the 2026 Motorola Razr+ as my daily driver; it never felt like a compromise and may be the model most people should buy.

Aside from color, the Razr+ is nearly indistinguishable from the Razr Ultra. The two share almost identical dimensions, with the Razr+ about 10 grams lighter. Both use a titanium-reinforced hinge, have outer displays protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and carry an IP48 rating for brief submersion.

On paper the Razr Ultra is clearly faster — powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite it scored roughly twice as high in benchmarks and led by a wider margin in graphical tests. In everyday use, however, the Razr+ felt snappy: apps opened quickly, multitasking ran smoothly and animations stayed fluid.
