Morgan Wallen rips phone from security guard, throws it across stage

Morgan Wallen’s concert antics on his “Still the Problem” tour continued Friday when he ripped a security guard’s cellphone out of her hand and threw it across the stage during a show at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. Video captured by a concert-goer shows the guard holding up both hands backwards as she recorded; Wallen first gestured to the phone, walked away, then returned, took the phone and flung it across the stage.

TikTok user jcroo419, who posted the clip, said a fan had given her phone to the guard to hand to Wallen and that he then “launched it.” She wrote, “I get it… security should be doing security things, but….” Wallen abruptly canceled the next night’s Pittsburgh show, saying in an Instagram Stories video that his team had been consulting with local officials and warned of strong winds.

“They said that there was going to be strong winds in the area, and I said, ‘OK,’” he said, adding his large stage “could become fatal” given the conditions and that he wanted to clear the air about other “nonsense” rumors.
