Morgan Wallen's controversial moments over the years
Morgan Wallen has had a string of headline-making incidents since his rise from The Voice in 2014. He released his debut album, "If I Know Me," four years later and followed with "Dangerous," "One Thing at a Time" and "I'm the Problem." The country star has been arrested multiple times and drawn attention for episodes ranging from flipping a piano onstage to throwing a chair off a rooftop.
Legal troubles began with a 2016 arrest for alleged DUI in Tennessee; prosecutors later dismissed the charge and the case appears to have been expunged. In May 2020 he faced public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges after an incident at Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse; those charges were dropped two months later.
In April 2024 he was arrested after throwing a chair from the sixth-story rooftop of Chief’s on Broadway; he was released on $15,000 bail, pleaded guilty in December 2024 and was sentenced to seven days at a DUI education center, two years of probation and a $359 fine.
