Moonlight Peaks releases bigger demo on Steam ahead of July launch
Moonlight Peaks, a vampire life sim with a dark-but-cute twist on farmlife, has a new expanded demo available on Steam ahead of its July 7 launch. A representative says this demo is largely similar to the six-hour build the writer played last month, but begins with a partially upgraded farm instead of starting from scratch.
It covers the same content: meeting most of the cast, beginning farming, and learning to cast spells and shapeshift while werewolves, witches, vampires and seers in town trade spells and insults. Past demos were smaller, focused on decorating or brief farming bursts, and omitted much of the story and the character creator; this version adds more of that material.
In play, the basics felt competent—snappy tool animations, easy menus, and cute character designs. Whether the game clicks will depend on taste: it leans on a directed main quest and comically toxic bantering rather than open-ended goals like Stardew Valley.
