Montech Ten Wood PC case includes a magnetic essential-oils diffuser

Computex felt a bit stilted amid the memory crisis, but case designers still delivered some unusual ideas. One that caught attention was Montech's Ten Wood, a small PC case with wooden detailing and a magnetic wooden block that sits above the exhaust fans to waft essential oils or other scents around a room.

Montech showed three Ten Wood models: the M1, M2, and I3. The M1 and M2 support both Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX, while the I3 supports only Mini-ITX. Despite the "Wood" name, there is relatively little wood on the case—small amounts at the top and bottom of the front panel and back, plus the wooden diffuser in the middle.

The basic Montech Ten is $70, and the Ten Wood is likely to add a small premium, though there’s no release date yet. The diffuser is compact and fairly niche, more of an extra than a main selling point unless the exhaust fans prove good enough to spread the scent around a room.
