Mobland Season 3 Reportedly Circling Idris Elba and Colin Farrell
Created by Ronan Bennett with Guy Ritchie as co-creator, executive producer and director, MobLand quickly became a hit after its first season, which was released in March last year on Paramount+. The series largely centers on Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza and features an ensemble cast including Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Paddy Considine; Season 2 is set to debut later this year.
Hardy’s future on the show has been thrown into doubt amid reports that he was fired after refusing to leave his trailer, meddling with scripts and clashing with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser during development of the upcoming season. Various accounts have since emerged, including an apparent disagreement with Helen Mirren that she has attempted to play down, and more recent claims that production has been working to bring Hardy back.
A mysterious source has told reporters that Hardy ultimately signaled he did not want to return for Season 3 and that the studio has begun courting replacements.
