Mistfall Hunter blends Soulslike combat with PvP extraction
Mistfall Hunter opens with familiar Soulslike beats: you wake as a husk, fight through a dying land, and are ultimately crushed by a hulking boss. The Steam Next Fest beta then shifts gear, letting players stash loot, revive their spirit, and summon a bell creature that can be tracked and slain to trigger an extraction and take their haul off the map.
The game, the debut from Bellring Games, offers multiple classes—mercenary, archer, sorcerer, plus roles like the stealthy Shadowstrix and the healer Seer—and lets players swap between them at the hub or progress separate skill trees. Loot drops can be equipped on the spot, but the best rewards hide in chests or behind tougher foes; precious Gyldenblood serves as the main currency for core progress.
Each match is time-limited by an encroaching Gyldenmist, forcing decisions about fighting over the bell or finding a truce with rivals to extract.
