Mini PC costs half a Mac mini and handles most everyday tasks

The Mac mini starts at $599. The GMKtec Nucbox G3 Pro runs Windows 11, handles dual 4K displays, supports Wi-Fi 6 and 2.5GbE ethernet, and is down to $259, off its $329 list price and open to all Amazon customers with no Prime membership required. The Intel Core i3-10110U runs two cores with Hyper-Threading at up to 4.1 GHz peak boost, outperforming the Ryzen 3 4300U and Intel’s N150 series in single-core tasks.

With 8GB of DDR4 in dual-channel configuration and a 256GB SSD that boots Windows in seconds, the unit covers browsing, streaming, office work, video calls, and light photo editing; a secondary M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe slot accepts an expansion drive for more space. Two HDMI 2.0 ports output to dual 4K displays at 60Hz, while Intel integrated graphics at 1,000MHz handles 4K playback and AV1 decoding.

Wi‑Fi 6 delivers up to 600Mbps, the Intel i226 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port runs at 2.5x standard Gigabit, four USB 3.2 ports reach up to 5Gbps, and Bluetooth 5.2 covers peripherals.
