Minecraft Sequel Reveals Title and First Look at Kirsten Dunst

A Minecraft Movie, based on the popular world-building game, was one of the biggest hits of 2025, taking in nearly a billion dollars. Warner Bros. Discovery greenlit a sequel, and filming is underway in New Zealand. During the Minecraft Live May event, returning stars Jack Black (Steve), Jason Momoa (Garrett) and Danielle Brooks (Dawn) offered a behind-the-scenes look and helped unveil the official sequel title: A Minecraft Movie Squared.

The first film had Steve, Garrett and Dawn sucked into the blocky Overworld and forced to work together to find a way out.
