Millie Bobby Brown recalls depression after Stranger Things ended
Millie Bobby Brown said she fell into "a slight depression" after filming the long-running series ended and has apologized to her Stranger Things co‑stars. She spoke candidly about the period during a live recording of Josh Horowitz’s podcast in New York City, and named colleagues including David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin and Winona Ryder.
Brown described trying to "mend" any tension, telling her castmates, "We’re still friends, right? ... I’m sorry if I ever upset you," and insisting, "You’re my sibling." She recalled sitting on a beach and crying, saying saying goodbye after 10 years on the show was very emotional.
The series ran from 2016 to 2025 over five seasons, and Brown noted she began the role at 10 and that the character and cast became like family. The actor also acknowledged there had been friction on set, particularly with Harbour.
