Mike Myers Returns as Dr. Evil in New Verizon Video
Mike Myers has officially returned as Dr. Evil, slipping back into the character's signature gray suit and bald cap for a new video. The appearance comes 24 years after his last outing in Austin Powers in Goldmember and recreates the films' tone to deliver a burst of nostalgia.
Set in Dr. Evil's mountainous lair "somewhere outside Las Vegas," the clip reunites Seth Green (Scott Evil), Rob Lowe (Number 2), and Mindy Sterling (Frau Farbissina). Myers unveils a scheme called Menace Mobile, but the pitch collapses when his team ridicules the outdated idea and voices a preference for Verizon.
The short spot functions as a humorous commercial for Verizon's newly launched "Simplicity Plan," which promises to eliminate hidden cell phone charges such as activation and upgrade fees. Myers previously returned for a 2022 Super Bowl ad about climate change, and while a standalone Dr.
