Mighty Nein season 2 first look highlights Fjord's dark pact

The last few episodes of The Legend of Vox Machina were just released, but Critical Role fans won’t have to wait long for more. Prime Video revealed a first look at The Mighty Nein season 2 during a panel at the Annecy Festival on June 24. The minute-long clip shows the party fighting to save the city of Nicodranas from a goblin raid.

They try to persuade the goblins not to fight, but one goblin bitterly says "the only good goblin is a dead goblin," a line that targets the murder hobo tendency of Dungeons & Dragons adventurers. The fight lets every member of the party show off: Jester (Laura Bailey) smacks goblins with her lollipop spiritual weapon, Beauregard Lionett (Marisha Ray) snatches arrows and throws them back, and the Warlock Paladin Fjord (Travis Willingham) feels his pact’s sway as a voice drives him to "consume." He throttles a goblin, draining its life and leaving a withered husk as his eyes turn dark.
