Amiiba's new Ferra microATX case features a large round circle on the front panel filled with a pulsing black ferrofluid. The case ships with a magnet to manipulate the liquid, and a microphone built into the rear lets the Venom-like blob react to sound. It comes in two models: a $119 non-ferrafluid version and a $199 Ferrafluid edition.

Swappable front plates will be offered for $50 to $150 depending on type and complexity, and demonstrations show the faceplates can be swapped out in mere moments. Amiiba is aiming for a September release. The compact, desk-friendly chassis is longer than it is wide and includes wood accenting that recalls Fractal Design's Terra.

Removable faceplates mean you can ditch the wood if you prefer, and the recent surge in microATX builds and interchangeable fronts could make this a neat-looking option if the build quality holds up.
