After bitcoin's worst week in two years, Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor posted a framework on X saying the community is coalescing into four distinct ideological camps. He presented these groups not as rivals but as complementary forces that together will shape bitcoin’s future.

Bitcoin Maximalists view bitcoin as the definitive monetary breakthrough, stressing digital scarcity, property rights, inflation protection and economic empowerment. Bitcoin Capitalists treat bitcoin as digital capital to be integrated into the global economy through corporate treasuries, institutional custody, bitcoin-backed securities, lending markets and broader financial infrastructure.

Bitcoin Technologists concentrate on protocol improvements — scalability, privacy, usability, security and future threats such as quantum computing — while urging caution with base-layer changes.
