'Michael' Officially Sets Digital Streaming Release Date
Lionsgate announced that Michael will be available to purchase on premium video on demand on Tuesday, Jun. 9. The film can be bought on Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video, and YouTube Movies & TV for $24.99, and is expected to be rentable for $19.99 for a 48-hour period.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, Michael stars Jaafar Jackson and follows his subject from the Jackson 5 through the peak of the Bad Tour in 1988; the film does not address the sexual assault allegations that affected the last 20 years of Jackson's life.
The cast also includes Colman Domingo, Miles Teller, Nia Long, and Laura Harrier, and the runtime is 130 minutes after its April 24, 2026 release. Becoming the most successful biopic in history at the box office, Michael has grossed over $850 million worldwide and topped the charts in two separate weeks, placing it currently second behind The Super Mario Galaxy Movie ($992 million).
