'Michael', the Michael Jackson biopic that debuted in theaters on April 24, is now available on-demand from VOD platforms including Prime Video. It has grossed over $880 million worldwide since its release after dominating the box office for weeks. Jaafar Jackson, in his film debut, stars as Michael Jackson.

Prime Video's synopsis describes the film as tracing Michael Jackson's life beyond the music, from the discovery of his talent as the lead of the Jackson Five to becoming the biggest entertainer in the world. A sequel, following his life and career post-1988, is said to be in development.

The digital release date is today, June 9. On Prime Video the film can be purchased for $24.99 or rented for $19.99; the purchase includes behind-the-scenes extras while the rental does not. You will not need a paid Amazon Prime membership to buy it, but you will need an Amazon account; rentals are valid for 30 days and expire 48 hours after you first hit play.
