Meghan Markle and Prince Harry vacation in Europe with kids Archie and Lilibet
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly on a European getaway with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, though the couple have not disclosed where they are staying. The trip comes ahead of a planned visit to the UK in July that remains up in the air.
Earlier this month the couple had been preparing to bring their children to Britain for the first time since 2022; Harry is 41 and Markle is 44, with Archie 7 and Lilibet 5. The family’s UK plans may be scrapped after they were denied taxpayer-funded security. Harry has been exploring every option to get his family to England safely, had expected to bring his own security team and has been in a “holding pattern” after a long dispute with the British Home Office over round‑the‑clock armed police escorts.
He also pays about $3 million a year for private security in the US. Charles has reportedly offered a royal residence with private security as an olive branch.
