Meghan and Harry mark Lilibet's 5th birthday with new photos

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry marked their daughter Princess Lilibet’s fifth birthday with a heartfelt Instagram tribute, posting two never-before-seen photos. One showed the Duke beaming as he held Lilibet while Markle looked on; the other captured the little girl caressing purple flowers in the backyard in a white dress.

They captioned the images, “Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lili 🤍.” Lilibet was born in 2021, two years after Prince Archie in 2019. Her first name recalls Queen Elizabeth II’s childhood nickname, and her middle name, Diana, honors Prince Harry’s mother, who died in 1997 when he was 12.

After resigning from royal duties and moving to Montecito, California, in 2020, the couple has largely kept their children off social media, though Markle occasionally shares glimpses of their life.
