Massive Hollow Knight: Silksong mod restores cut areas and mechanics

If you try to complete everything in Hollow Knight: Silksong, expect roughly 60–70 hours of play. For players who've already explored every corner of Pharloom, a fan expansion promises substantial new content. The mod, Hollow Knight: Silksoul, adds new areas, mechanics, secrets and interactions.

The developers have reconstructed places that were cut from the released game: Red Coral Gorge and The Gloom will return, and Hunter's March (Hunters' Nest) has been adjusted to align with the April 2021 map and other known cut content. "Some of these areas, in our opinion, could have been given more justice, especially the ants!" Silksoul also restores mechanics that were swapped out during development and introduces fresh secrets and interactions, taking its name from a Silk Soul mode present in builds circa April 2021.

The team is also increasing the difficulty as part of the overhaul.
