Marvel Tokon reveals Magneto, Carnage and Green Goblin

ArcSystem Works’ Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls added three more characters during today’s State of Play: Magneto, Carnage and Green Goblin. They join the previously announced Doctor Doom on his Knights of Doom team. Magneto appears loaded with ranged options, using telekinetic powers to hurl chunks of scrap at opponents.

Longtime fighting game fans will recognize him from the Marvel Vs. Capcom series, and he’s presented as a safe pick—both a beloved villain and a staple of the scene. Green Goblin was shown zooming across the stage on his glider while beating up Peter Parker, tossing bouncing grenades and sending his ride full screen, suggesting strong mobility and trap setups after knockdowns.

Carnage’s red symbiote sent red-black streaks across the screen as it repeatedly struck the Spider; while entirely unconfirmed, he has the vibe of a Berserker-type who trades health for damage, capped by a super animation where a flurry of blades demolishes his foe.
