Marvel Confirms New Update for Avengers: Doomsday

Marvel has confirmed the long‑awaited arrival of a new update for Avengers: Doomsday as anticipation builds ahead of the film's Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic‑Con (SDCC) this coming weekend. The marketing push has kicked into high gear, building toward the movie's theatrical release on December 18, 2026.

The studio has released four teaser trailers and held exclusive industry previews that promise a massive multiversal team‑up. The Avengers will join the Fantastic Four, the X‑Men, Wakandan Warriors and the Thunderbolts (aka the New Avengers) to face the iconic villain Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.

The film has a listed runtime of 165 minutes and is directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. Writers on the project include Stephen McFeely, Michael Waldron, Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, with producers Anthony Russo, Joe Russo and Kevin Feige.
