Mark Wahlberg unrecognizable after transformation for 'By Any Means'
Mark Wahlberg, 55, looks unrecognizable in the trailer for By Any Means as he plays mafia hitman Gregory Scarpa. His famous physique remains, but facial prosthetics — including a nose piece, a bulky dark wig with retro sideburns and a wider jawline — drastically alter his appearance.
The crime thriller follows a Black FBI agent, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, as he investigates the murders of prominent civil rights figures alongside Wahlberg’s Scarpa in 1960s Mississippi. Filmed in Atlanta and inspired by a true story, the plot follows their hunt as lines between justice and vengeance begin to blur.
Wahlberg wrote on Facebook that he was "excited to share the trailer for my new film BY ANY MEANS, based on a true story," and noted the movie will hit theaters in September. Fans weighed in in the comments, posting reactions such as "Consider me officially ‘booked and busy’ the second this hits theaters," "going all Al Capone on this one!
