Mark Hamill Joins Twisted Metal Season 3 Amid Creative Shake-Up
Peacock's Twisted Metal exceeded expectations, moving from a rough first season—67% positive on Rotten Tomatoes—to a much stronger second season at 92%. The show's eclectic ensemble and willingness to expand the game's spare premise have been key to its appeal.
The InSneider names Mark Hamill as a new addition for Season 3, though no character details have been released. Best known as Luke Skywalker, Hamill has recently explored horror roles, appearing in Mike Flanagan's The Fall of the House of Usher and, in 2025, playing the nefarious Major in Stephen King's The Long Walk, in which he oversaw a competition where 50 boys walked until they couldn't any longer, resulting in 49 of these boys being executed.
Season 3 follows a major creative shake-up: co-creator and showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith was replaced by David Reed, and much of the writers' room was overhauled.
