Margo's Got Money Troubles Remains an R-Rated Hit on Apple TV
Apple TV's raunchiest R-rated series, Margo's Got Money Troubles, debuted in April and remains a streaming hit even after its first season concluded several weeks ago. The show is the fifth most popular series on Apple TV globally this week; Your Friends & Neighbors still holds the top spot, with the remake of Martin Scorsese's Cape Fear in second.
Adapted for television by David E. Kelley from Rufi Thorpe's best-selling novel, the series stars Elle Fanning as Margo Millet, a single parent who turns to OnlyFans after a college professor abandons her while she is pregnant. Inspired by her Hooters waitress mother (Michelle Pfeiffer) and pro-wrestler father (Nick Offerman), Margo adopts a bizarre online persona while the story examines how that work affects her responsibilities and personal life, including a custody battle when the absent father resurfaces.
Season 1 earned a 96% Rotten Tomatoes critics score and an 80% audience rating, and Apple TV has renewed the series for a second season.
