Marcus Rashford has taken his World Cup preparations to the United States, linking up with Inter Miami’s facilities to acclimatise to the Florida heat after instructions from Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel called for his 26-man squad to holiday in American time zones, and many players spent the off-season in the United States or Caribbean to prepare.

Weather is expected to be a major factor at the tournament, with studies showing nearly a quarter of games likely to be played above 26C, so Rashford is getting an early start on the humidity. Rashford flew into Florida and trained at David Beckham’s Inter Miami complex with a private coach.

A Barcelona winger shared a snap of his shooting practice, notably under the watchful eye of a coach dressed in Manchester United gear, suggesting he is maintaining close ties with his parent club despite time away in Spain.
