Marcus Rashford 'keeps it moving' as he pushes for permanent Barcelona stay

He says he has private assurances from manager Hansi Flick, who told him he is satisfied with his tactical contribution and wants him in the squad next season. The main obstacle is financial: Barcelona hold a €30 million buy option that would include a three-year contract, but the transfer depends on the club clearing space under La Liga’s strict salary caps.

Rashford’s camp insists the €80 million arrival of Gordon from Newcastle does not change the forward’s plans. He was aware of Barcelona’s negotiations for Gordon and, with no executive decision communicated that he is surplus, has told his representatives to freeze concrete offers from other European clubs tracking his situation.
