Marcus Rashford is determined to secure a permanent return to Barcelona despite Anthony Gordon's arrival at Camp Nou. Manchester United remain keen to sell the 28-year-old this summer, but Rashford has made Barcelona his preferred destination and is prepared to wait as the transfer window progresses.

His World Cup goal in England's victory over Croatia has further boosted hopes that his market value could rise. Rashford spent last season on loan with the Catalan side and believes he still has unfinished business in Spain. He earned encouragement from Barcelona boss Hansi Flick, adapted to tactical demands, accepted a squad role and often made an impact from the bench, leaving coaching staff satisfied with his contribution.

Financial issues continue to complicate any deal. Barcelona previously declined to activate a €30 million purchase option despite Rashford's willingness to reduce his salary, while Manchester United want a permanent sale and are not currently interested in another loan.
