Manchester United are reportedly willing to accept offers for Harry Maguire this summer, despite him signing a contract extension in April that runs until 2027. The club is said to be ready to refresh Michael Carrick’s squad and would consider moves for the 33-year-old.

Former United chief scout Mick Brown described the potential sale as "ridiculous" and said he would be surprised if Maguire was moved on, while noting the board can be unpredictable. Reports claim the defender has been offered to a couple of clubs and even to Serie A champions Inter.

The reported stance appears driven by a desire to raise funds for new arrivals. Brown pointed to the difference Maguire makes on the pitch but warned that the owners often "see pound signs" and could sell if a suitable offer arrives. The uncertainty follows Maguire’s omission from England’s 2026 World Cup squad, a decision that left him "shocked and gutted" after returning from a recurring thigh injury.
