Man Utd confirm Rasmus Hojlund has left to join Napoli
Manchester United have confirmed Rasmus Hojlund has completed a permanent move to Napoli following a loan spell in Italy, with the Serie A club triggering a mandatory purchase clause. The club added: "Everyone at the club would like to wish Rasmus all the very best for the future." Hojlund’s departure ends a three-year association after he arrived from Atalanta in 2023.
He scored 26 goals in 95 appearances for United and featured as a substitute in the 2024 FA Cup final victory over Manchester City at Wembley. The transfer became permanent after Napoli secured a top-four finish in Serie A, a result confirmed following a 3-0 win against Pisa in which Hojlund scored and provided an assist.
The deal is believed to be worth approximately £38 million; he finished the season as Napoli’s top scorer with 16 goals in 44 games and helped the club finish runners-up and clinch the Supercoppa Italiana.
