Man of Tomorrow reveals first look at Lex Luthor's Warsuit

James Gunn posted "live from the set of Man of Tomorrow," offering a clear look at Nicholas Hoult in Lex Luthor's trademark Warsuit. The image arrives as filming continues on the follow-up to 2025's Superman, which is slated to open July 9, 2027. The Warsuit appears comics-accurate: bright green, purple, and absolutely massive.

The armor is built to give Luthor strength and resilience comparable to Superman, and Gunn previously teased the suit in the film's announcement artwork by DC Comics president and chief creative officer Jim Lee. Gunn has described Man of Tomorrow as "a story about Lex Luthor and Superman having to work together to a certain degree against a much, much bigger threat." That larger threat appears to be the alien Brainiac, who will be played by Lars Eidinger, and Gunn added, "It’s as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie," in an interview with Howard Stern.
