Cybersecurity firm Malwarebytes warns that a new wave of scam websites is offering "VIP early access" to Grand Theft Auto 6 in exchange for "a few hundred dollars" paid in cryptocurrency. The schemes have appeared even though GTA 6 remains five months from its console release and official preorders have not begun.

Malwarebytes shared images of the fake sites, one of which mixes GTA 6 with Mr. Beast and Lego. Payments in crypto leave victims little recourse; once funds are sent there is no reliable way to recover them. Stefan Dasic of Malwarebytes called GTA 6 "the perfect bait," saying scammers "simply exploit that excitement." The report notes that slick design and urgent wording can prompt impulsive purchases, and that desire for early access can overcome caution for people of all ages.

There is no early access to GTA 6 at this point. If Rockstar offers any paid advance access, buy only through official channels, and treat any site demanding cryptocurrency with skepticism.
