Malia and Sasha Obama attend Obama Presidential Center opening
Malia and Sasha Obama made a rare public appearance at the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago on Thursday, joining their parents, former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, on stage. The Obamas opened the center this weekend in honor of Juneteenth, with festivities running all weekend.
Malia wore a plunging gray blazer and skirt and wore her long auburn locks down. Sasha stunned in an off-the-shoulder white top with a matching skirt paired with an oversized brown belt, her hair in a slicked back half-up, half-down style. The opening ceremony featured musical performances from Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Vedder.
Other attendees included Bill and Hilary Clinton, Stephen Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King and Tom Hanks. Since their father’s presidency ended in 2017, Malia, 27, and Sasha, 25, have remained largely out of the spotlight. They were under a microscope for most of their adolescence since their father served two terms.
