Make That Movie, a six-episode absurdist comedy created by Australian actor and comedian Sam Campbell and writer Paddy Young, premiered on May 28, 2026. It aired on Channel 4 in the UK and was released on HBO Max in Australia only. Campbell plays a fictionalized version of himself, a once hot-shot director who travels the UK looking for ordinary people with feature-film ideas.

Shot in a mockumentary style, each episode follows Campbell and his ragtag team — producers, filmmakers and an awkward yet rich intimacy director played by Aaron Chen — as they try to turn those ideas into films. The first episode sees them produce a heist thriller in which a couple can turn into snakes, requiring CGI, live snakes and printing center workers turned actors.

The series also stars Lara Ricote, Helen Bauer and David Hargreaves.
