Magic: The Gathering’s new Marvel Super Heroes set highlights both heroes and iconic villains, including multiple versions of Doctor Doom. One Doom card appears in a preconstructed Commander deck with Loki, but another version could be even more powerful when paired with a few classic cards.

Players have noticed the new Doctor Doom resembles Grave Titan because both create two creature tokens when they enter the battlefield. Grave Titan makes 2/2 black Zombie tokens when it enters or attacks, while Doctor Doom creates two 3/3 Doombot creatures on entering.

With an artifact creature or a 'Plan'—a new mechanic for the set—Doctor Doom becomes indestructible, letting it slot into the classic Grave Titan infinite combo that uses Nim Deathmantle and Ashnod’s Altar. The loop works like this: sacrifice a Doombot to add two mana via Ashnod’s Altar, then sacrifice Doom to add another two mana.
