Maggie Rogers revealed onstage at Madison Square Garden that a man who worked for the New York Times allegedly cheated on her. She was appearing during Rosalia’s LUX tour when she described being set up by a friend, meeting a “handsome” reporter who picked her up in a vintage car and drove around Manhattan.

Rogers said the date ended with an empty late-night tour of the Times building around 1 a.m., where they made out in a conference room, and later in the car. She declined when he suggested going up to her apartment. The following morning a friend told her the man was dating one of her friends.

When Rogers called to confront him, she said he asked to come over to “really love to talk” about it; she refused and never spoke to him again. “That’s my story. That’s my confession. I mean, what a loser. You just can’t trust a journalist,” she told the crowd, and the segment quickly went viral with fans urging her to name him.
