Maelstrom Predicts Worldcoin Token Surge to $5
Maelstrom, the investment firm of Arthur Hayes, said Worldcoin’s WLD token could climb to as much as $5 over the next few months, positioning the token as a crypto proxy for the AI boom. Maelstrom researcher Lukas Ruppert wrote, “The AI mega IPOs are coming — and it appears the market has overlooked one of the cleanest proxies.” The firm pointed to recent moves in the AI sector: OpenAI confidentially filed its IPO prospectus with the SEC on May 22, targeting a public debut in September 2026 and aiming to raise $60 billion with a potential valuation of up to $1 trillion.
Competitor Anthropic filed its draft prospectus confidentially after announcing it was valued at $965 billion following a $65 billion funding round, while US indexes such as the S&P 500 have hit record highs driven by gains in AI and memory storage stocks like SanDisk, Micron, Seagate and Western Digital.
