Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Special 2026: What to Know

America marks a major milestone in 2026, and Macy's 4th of July Fireworks is celebrating one too. First held in 1976, the annual event pairs bombastic musical performances with the explosive light show above New York City, as tens of thousands of fireworks are detonated and NBC brings the program into viewers' homes.

Watch the milestone fireworks live on Saturday, July 4, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

The 2026 edition is the 50th presentation of Macy's 4th of July Fireworks and coincides with the nation's 250th anniversary and NBC's 100th year of entertainment, a combination that helps make it the biggest Independence Day celebration in the country.

Performers have not been announced yet; last year's lineup included the Jonas Brothers, Eric Church, Lenny Kravitz, Ava Max, Keke Palmer and Trisha Yearwood. For those planning to see the show in New York City, several viewing options are available—visit Macy's website for the most up-to-date information.
